East Asian Seas Congress 2015Meeting
(Meeting: 17-21 November) Since 2003, the East Asian Seas (EAS) Congress has established its reputation as an intellectual marketplace and ocean-based forum that uniquely focuses on the world’s most diverse and fastest-growing region.
This triennial event provides a dynamic platform for knowledge sharing, collaborative action, partnership building and a forum to advance commitment and cooperation in achieving the shared vision of a sustainable East Asian Seas.
Guided by the overarching theme of “Global Targets, Local Benefits: Setting the Sustainable Agenda for the Seas of East Asia,” the EAS Congress will feature three thematic sessions that will focus on assessment of lessons learned and progress made, scaling up of good practices and initiatives towards building a blue economy, and mapping of new targets and schedule for the East Asian Seas region beyond 2015 in accordance with international commitments on sustainable development.
The congress will be held in Danang, VietNam.
