Third International Conference on Small Island Developing StatesConference
(Conference: 1-4 September, 2014) The Third International Conference for Small Island Developing States (SIDS) is scheduled to convene from 1-4 September 2014, in Apia, Independent State of Samoa. There will be pre-conference activities beginning on 28 August, also in the same venue.
The conference will serve as a forum to build on existing successful partnerships as well as to launch innovative and concrete new ones, to advance the sustainable development of small island developing States. The Conference will include six multi-stakeholder partnership dialogues, held in parallel with the plenary meetings.
This conference will include a high-level segment to build upon the Barbados Programme of Action (BPOA) and the Mauritius Strategy for Implementation (MSI), and will identify new challenges for the sustainable development of SIDS.
