2nd International Conference on the West Philippine SeaConference
(Conference: 18-20 February 2016) The 2nd International Conference on the West Philippine Sea will be held in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan, Philippines. It aims at presenting past and current researches in the West Philippine Sea on management and inclusive growth of the area. This conference serves as venue to gather multidiscipline information in order to understand more the West Philippines Sea at the perspective of research and development.
The conference also serves as means for the scientists, scholars, local government units, business sector, non-government organizations, and students from the Universities in Asia and around the world, including the industry, to present research and development activities.
Delegates will be given opportunities to personally exchange new ideas and application experiences, to establish business or research relations and to find global partners for future collaboration. This conference will gather information and knowledge, which would help understand and appreciate the West Philippine Sea as a large ecosystem and as a resource for sustainable development. Studies and interventions conducted in the West Philippine Sea are preferred, and cultural and socio-economic studies are welcome, though studies conducted outside West Philippine Sea, which could serve as models or can be duplicated in the West Philippine Sea are accepted.
Main session topics are: Natural Science; Social Science and Culture; and Economics and Development. Final conference venue will be announced soon.
